Vegan Jalapeño Cheddar Cheese Ball


Here is another great appetizer for the gatherings. Before going vegan I loved a good cheese ball during holiday times. A few years ago I finally attempted a veganized one and since then I have created my own. Everybody loves them when I make them for gatherings and always ask for the recipe. It is vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and delicious.




This cheese ball is made with healthy ingredients so you don't have to feel guilty about eating it.


  • Cashews - These make great bases for any creamy vegan dish. I buy raw cashews in bulk. Tip: buy the cashew pieces rather than the whole cashews, it's cheaper and you are blending them up anyways. Cashews are a great source of healthy fats and copper.

  • Nutritional Yeast - What's not to love about nooch?! It's packed full of vitamins and minerals and goes great on and in everything! In here it helps give a cheesy, saltiness to the cashew cheese.

  • Crushed Almonds - You could go without adding these to your cheese ball, but I think it gives it a good crunch for the outside layer. Almonds are good source of fiber, healthy fats, protein, and Vitamin E.
