Hummus is such a great dip and spread to have on hand! I love using it for veggie trays and spreads on sandwiches and toast. Like other things it so easy just to pick up at the store, but it's so easy to make but hardly anyone does it. With a basic hummus recipe you can turned it into so many different flavors just like at the store, but without all the extra fillers and preservatives. This recipe is oil-free but feel free to add it in if you want a smoother consistency.
Chickpeas or Garbanzo beans - What do you call them? They are a great source of Vitamin B and C, plant based protein, fiber, manganese, copper, iron, and folate. I love adding them to my salads!
Tahini - Is sesame past, that's it! It is a great source of healthy fats and can be used in so many different ways. I use it all the time for dressings for salads!
